Aim Coach
The Aiming.pro Aim Coach is the perfect companion for improving your aim. Effective training requires structure, repetition, goals, progression and feedback and that’s exactly what the Aim Coach provides.
Think of the Aim Coach as a personal trainer. Pick your objective and you'll receive a workout tailored to your skill level and performance. The drills will be just the right difficulty level to allow you to build your skills and each will have a goal to let you see how well you’re doing.
Let the Aim Coach create a workout for you, follow it, improve. It’s simple!
How it Works
Within each Trainer you’ll find the Aim Coach. Simply pick one of the benchmark drills and a training duration and the Aim Coach will create a personalised workout for you.
That workout will remain active until you complete or abandon it. We recommend you complete it in one sitting. This will let you get in the zone and focus on your performance. That’s not always possible so you can exit the workout at any time and your progress will be saved. You can have one active workout in each trainer at the same time.
At the end of your workout you’ll see a summary of your performance. You can check if you hit your goals and think about any drills where you missed the goal. It’s important to process why you missed any goals and how you can improve next time. Hopefully you’ll have improved your score on your benchmark drill and moved up a rank!
Workout Structure
A workout consists of
- Core Skills - General skills which will help you improve at the type of aiming needed for your target drill
- Ramp Up - By practicing easier variations of your target drill you can focus on the required movements and techniques, gradually ramping up your performance. The easier variations are generally larger, slower or more predictable targets - or any combination of those things. There are up to 6 levels of each variation ranging from much easier to really close configuration to the target.
- Overload - Overloading your training with harder variations will help you enormously. Do your best on these and then when you come to play the target drill you’ll find it easy! Similar idea to the easier variations but the targets will be smaller, faster and more unpredictable.
- Benchmark - at the end of each workout you’ll play your target drill. You probably won’t get a new high score after every workout, but you’ll be gradually building your skills and increasing your performance.
Goals
Having a goal whilst training is critical to make it deliberate practice, which is a big part of efficient training.
Each workout has a top level goal - that’s to improve on your target drill. Perform a workout on any benchmark drill you’re struggling with and eventually you’ll attain the rank you are reaching for.
Each drill within a workout has a target performance range and a stretch. These are based upon your past performance or on the performance of similar players. The goal is to hit your target performance across the workout and if you’re doing great you’ll smash your stretch goals.
At the end of the workout you’ll be able to review how well you did on that workout. Your scores are fed back into the system to help set your goals for your next workout. This continual feedback system will keep pushing you to your limits.
Training Frequency
How often you play through a workout is entirely up to you. The more you play the more you'll improve. The workouts have been designed to be quick, so if you're pushed for time you can hop on Aiming.pro and just do a 10 minute workout per day and leave it at that. That'll give you a regular and structured training regime which is essential for improvement. If you've got more time to commit you can complete multiple workouts on multiple drills per day.
The most important thing is to develop regular training habits. Ten minutes every day or a longer session 3-4 times per week is a great start to your aim training journey.
Start Training!
The Aim Coach was designed to let you train for your desired objective without having to search for relevant drills or have any other distractions. It couldn't be easier to get a workout created and play through it. Don't over-think it, just get into it and start smashing your highscores
