I think that the requirement to register on the site before being able to use it will discourage many people from trying it out. I would suggest to add a "try it out now" button or something on the frontpage and after the finishing it will show the advantages of registrating.
I would wish to see some more stats and statistics of my progression. For example having two graphs showing both general accuraccy- and speed-chart like you do already specificly for each gamemode on the specific gamemodepage.
The numbers of the octagon (1-8) feel very unintuitive. Which direction was 8 again and what was 1? I dont know. Instead I would use degrees means 0° is up, 90° is right, 180° is down and so on or a compas rose so N for up, S for down, NE for up-right and so on.
Possible features for the future
At the moment I dont compleatly understand the difference of SKILL BUILDER and TRAINING DRILLS except a diffrent arrangement of the games. It would be cool and motivating to get some daily tasks depending on your weaknesses. I think having something to work on or accomplish is quite motivating and could cause players to come back more often.
What exactly does the percentile value say?
Hi - thanks for more great feedback.
We have wondered if signup to play is an issue and have contemplated a demo game. It may happen!
Definitely need more stats on the progressions. We are quite pleased with the post-game stats, but we need more on the general performance of a player.
Octagon - hadn't considered this. Hoped the shape would be intuitive. Good idea to help people understand with some angles.
The idea behind the skill builder and the training drills was that some people may want to be guided through a set of games to work on various skills but other people know what they want to train so can find a specific game in the drills - only time will tell if this works! We definitely want people to repeatedly come back, so as you say, having a personalised task / target would be great.
The percentile value is a comparison to the overall population performance. We want players to be able to compare themselves to everyone else.
